A careers advisor once said that it would be HR or teaching for me, and after starting my teaching degree I quickly realised the direction I wanted to go in. So, after gaining experience in HR with Becky and the team, through an internship, and ad hoc work during University, I applied for a role with Becky. And here I am – we invested in each other and I continue to enjoy the A-Z of HR at HR Now.
I spent the first year mostly outsourced to a client but am now back in the office and working more closely with the team and my broad range of clients here. They are a fun bunch! Our Digital DNA keeps us forward-thinking, and we have recently launched a recruitment service, specifically for HR professionals, and that’s an area I certainly enjoy – meeting new people and discussing their interests is a part of why I love HR. Who better to really understand both the requirements of a role and the needs of the business than HR professionals like us?
Continuing with my professional development is important to me and I have recently completed my CIPD Level 3 Diploma, which I really enjoyed.
I am a real people person and always on the go. I love cycling, snowboarding, Yoga and travelling, having taken a year out before University to see as much of Europe as possible. I’ve also spent time in SE Asia and Canada and, when travel is really back on the agenda, next on my list is South America and conquering Machu Pichu.
