My Experience
I started in recruitment before joining the HR team at Coopers & Lybrand. Twelve years with the restructured PWC taught me a lot about HR and people – both the human and commercial needs. Five of those years were with the Global Deployment team in London. In 2004 I joined Ansbacher as the Head of HR for the Channel Islands. It was here my mediation skills were honed and I became an accredited mediator.
In April 2009, I launched HR Now, and the rest as they say is history. We are now viewed as the leading outsourced HR provider in Jersey and I am incredibly proud of the experienced and professional team that I have the privilege of working with. Our testimonials speak for themselves.
My Specialisms
As CEO of HR Now, the buck stops with me on all major issues, but what I particularly enjoy doing is using my experience to help clients with their strategic HR planning.
There’s also an increasing demand for dispute resolution and I use my accredited mediation skills to help smooth the waters where relations have fallen down and to hopefully prevent the need to resort to a potentially expensive tribunal process.
Communication skills are vital and I’ve learned that unfortunately there are many managers who are promoted for being excellent in their roles, but are not then equipped with the communication skills they need to lead teams. We have developed the Effective Conversations Management Training 101, and I’m passionate about sharing this critical skill set.
What can we do for you?
HR is a management tool. We coach managers and management to get the best and be the best. When I set up HR Now, my belief was then and still is that all businesses can meet best practice and compliance, and reap the commercial benefits if they have access to the very best HR expertise at an affordable price.
What makes me smile?
I’m mum to my four-legged kids and I’m a partner, daughter, sister and great mate to the other brilliant people around me. You’ll find me in jodhpurs launching my trusty steed Harley over jumps, in trainers out running with the dog, on the phone plotting fun with friends, or in the kitchen cooking for a party.
