Tribunal (2)

We're proud to announce a significant triumph at HR Now in a recent case before the Jersey Employment Tribunal. This success reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence, fairness, and expertise in the field of HR.

In this particular case, we had the privilege of supporting Jersey Action Against Rape, a cherished charity providing essential services to the community. The case revolved around the dismissal of a senior Counselling Professional for severe dereliction of duties, refusal to follow instructions, and non-compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

The dismissed employee filed various claims, including unfair dismissal and disability discrimination, seeking substantial compensation. We are pleased to report that the Tribunal dismissed all these claims. Our HR team received high praise from the Tribunal's Chairman, who commended our investigation and appeal hearings as being conducted with "textbook propriety."

This case underscores several crucial messages:

1. The Tribunal does not consider a self-diagnosis of "anxiety" as a disability.
2. Compliance with regulatory and professional standards is of paramount importance.
3. The Tribunal values employers who ensure that suspension, investigation, dismissal, and appeal processes adhere to the highest standards of expertise and best practices.

We understand that handling complex HR cases requires a unique skill set, and not all organisations possess the capacity or expertise to manage them effectively. At HR Now, we take pride in our ability to provide top-notch HR solutions for clients across various sectors and sizes.

When you face HR challenges, remember that we’re always here to help deliver excellence and uphold fairness in the world of HR.
